Prout sets new standards in Catamaran construction
Prout Catamarans are proud to announce that its entire range of catamarans produced in the Far East will be built using resin/epoxy infusion technology.
The advantage of using infusion techniques together with cutting edge composites and other construction materials is that the hull and deck end up being 20% lighter, substantially stronger and more ridged than conventional construction methods. As is commonly known, a catamaran that is light with minimal flexing translates into good performance and weight carrying characteristics.
To ensure that the finished product meets design weights, all counter tops and tables are manufactured using marble and/or hard woods that are laminated onto aluminum honeycomb resulting in a very high end product that is light, luxurious, and very strong.
In order to set the standard in quality and ensure that Prout Catamarans retain their value for many years to come, materials and equipment such as laminated safety glass salon windows (not plastic, lexan or acrylic), stainless steel saloon sliding doors, aged teak decks, solid wood floors (not laminates), genuine leather upholstery, high grade stainless steel throughout (316L), and the most respected names in the industry for all the equipment, rigs, sails and electronics are used.
Prout is producing two primary catamaran lines:
· Cruising range which are luxury blue water yachts with fixed keels and resin infused construction.
· Performance range which are offshore catamarans with dagger board options and epoxy infused construction and composite rigs.
