The boat sails very well for a big cat. I have had her up to about 17 knots but and I am sure that with the right conditions she could break 20, remember my boat is heavier than the current models... Under power I have punched her to 13.5 knots but imagine she could do 14, I tend to motor around at 2000 rpm and get about 9 knots which is just fine.
She sails up to about 40 to 45 degrees off the wind... in fact she sails better to windward than I would have expected. Off the wind, look out she really comes into her own then.
At anchor it's a dream and having sailed her about 250 miles from Thailand and I can honestly say, it's a very nice way to travel.
My only regret... not enough time to use her more often!

I have recently taken delivery of a new Prout 45S and surprised at what I am reading in these postings. The boat has been commissioned and they have met all expectations related to the purchase, while warranty issues have been addressed and taken care of to date.
